Brief: Site redesign & site implementation
Finding necessary information was difficult because the site was overloaded with text. The site lacked organization and direct navigation making it difficult for users to find information. The dated design was distracting and longer load times dettered users from the site entirely.
This design is inviting and organized, making the site enjoyable to navigate. We are able to direct the user through the site efficiently by using clear navigation and buttons. I chose to organize content behind accordian components and buttons, where the user can find information easily without feeling overwhelmed by exposed text on the page. This site was developed in Next JS and takes advantage of static rendering for quick load time and accessibility. This site was also designed and developed to be mobile friendly. Brief: Redesign itenerary page, booking & confirmation process
Previously, the user did not have the ability to book and edit private tours independtly or have the option to join a booking waitlist. The itenerary page revealed little information about the tours and was difficult to read. The waiver and confirmation process was lengthy, leading to missing passenger information.
The updated itenerary page displays all the necessary details about the private tours. The date picker module allows the user to filter tours that are compatable with their selected dates and times, or join the new waitlist option. After the user has booked their tour, each passenger recieves a confirmation email and waiver. Giving each passenger the ability to sign their own waivers and forms saves the primary passenger time and prevents mistakes. The primary passenger is immediately given access to the admin page where they can see what passengers have completed their waiver forms as well as remove or add passengers from the tour.
